![]() He was the adjutant with American Legion Post 212 in Donora, Pa. Herb was currently employed by Allegheny Health Network. He was most thankful and proud to be a part of the team that installed and equipped the new operating rooms at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, Pa. During Herb’s career as a biomedical specialist, he furthered his education and training, acquiring 10 additional bio-med certifications. Lippincott would be deployed to Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan and Kosovo. In 2010, he graduated with honors, second in his class, from Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, as a biomedical equipment technician. In 1987, Herb enlisted in the United States Army Reserve, training as an electrical power line and logistics specialist. He was branded with the name “Red Shoes” because red was his favorite color and he just had to wear red cleats while playing sports! Herb’s “Red Shoes” traveled with him to Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania on a partial football scholarship, majoring in business management. Herbert, also affectionately known as “Herb,” “Herby” and the infamous “Red Shoes” or “Shoes,” was a 1985 graduate of Monessen High School, where he performed well academically, played the tuba in the band and excelled in sports, especially football and baseball. He was a member of Union Baptist Church in Monessen, Pa., where he was a former member of the trustee board. ![]() He was the son of the late T.Sgt.Herbert H. 12, 1966, at Spangdahlem Air Force Base in Bitburg, Germany.
